Stanley Abroad is a Korea-focused study abroad provider created by experts who truly understand the international student experience — because we’ve lived it ourselves.
Our story begins with Stanley Prep, an international education consultancy based in the U.S. that has supported thousands of students — particularly from Korea — in securing academic placements, leadership training, and visa support for American universities.
As a U.S. Department of State–recognized U.S. visa sponsor, Stanley Prep earned a reputation for reliability, cultural fluency, and hands-on care.
Building on this foundation, Stanley Abroad was launched to serve the reverse pathway: helping students from U.S. universities experience Korea’s world-class education, culture, and innovation. Powered by the same team of Korea-based specialists who understand both sides of the international education journey, Stanley Abroad is uniquely equipped to guide students with insight, integrity, and full-circle support.
We make studying in Korea not only possible, but transformative — academically, culturally, and personally. Starting with our flagship program at Dankook University, we continue to expand opportunities that connect students to Korea and beyond.
To provide students from U.S. universities with seamless access to academic, cultural, and professional learning experiences in Korea — while supporting them from application through arrival with the reliability of a U.S. Department of State–recognized U.S. visa sponsor.
We’ve walked the path — now we guide the way.
Stanley Abroad was founded by Koreans with deep personal and professional experience in international education. Having previously served as a visa sponsor for Korean students heading to the U.S., we now help students go the other way — into Korea’s top universities. Our team knows what it’s like to study far from home, and we design every step of the experience with that understanding in mind.
Academic credit meets cultural connection.
While academics are delivered by your host university, Stanley Abroad helps you build true cultural competency through curated learning experiences, service opportunities, cultural excusrions and optional professional exposure. We believe global education should go beyond the classroom — equipping you with the skills, relationships, and perspectives to thrive in a global context.
Stay on track while studying abroad
We ensure students stay academically aligned by providing syllabi in advance for credit pre-approval, guaranteeing course selection before departure, and partnering with academically renowned institutions like Dankook University. All courses are taught in English, with the option to add Korean language study at any level.
Hands-On Help With Everything You Didn’t Know You’d Need
From the moment you land in Korea, we provide hands-on support for all the small (but important) details — setting up bank accounts, finding clinics, getting SIM cards, and registering for your Alien Registration Card (ARC). Students are matched with local buddies, placed in guaranteed on-campus housing, and supported throughout their stay with guidance that’s both personal and practical.
