We know that sometimes your plans may shift. This cancellation policy outlines what to expect if you decide to withdraw from a Stanley Prep program. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to Stanley Prep.

An $80 application fee is required for all programs. This is non-refundable. Please note that using financial aid or selecting a payment plan does not exempt you from the cancellation policy. If you withdraw from your program on or before the original Stanley Prep payment due date, your financial responsibility is limited to the $80 application fee.

For students who withdraw 1 to 9 days after the payment due date, a cancellation fee of $800 plus any costs already incurred on your behalf will be assessed. These incurred costs may include confirmed housing, administrative fees, excursions, or other pre-paid program expenses.

If you withdraw between 10 and 20 days after the payment due date, you will be responsible for a $1,300 cancellation fee plus incurred costs. If you are enrolled in a summer program, your fee during this window will be $1,050 plus incurred costs.

Withdrawals made 21 or more days after the payment due date — but before the final withdrawal deadline — will result in a $1,800 cancellation fee plus incurred costs. Summer program participants in this tier are responsible for $1,550 plus incurred costs.

The final deadline to withdraw from any program is 14 days before the program start date. Any withdrawal submitted after this deadline is not eligible for any refund, regardless of the reason.

It is the student’s responsibility to complete all required documents in the student portal. If documents are not submitted despite repeated reminders, Stanley Prep may deem this a withdrawal, and no refunds will be issued.

Housing deposits and housing confirmation fees become non-refundable once the payment due date has passed. Likewise, if you have opted into Stanley Prep’s withdrawal protection, that fee is also non-refundable after the payment due date.

If you choose to change or defer to another Stanley Prep program after the payment due date — and before the final withdrawal deadline — a $550 program change fee will apply in addition to any non-recoverable costs already paid on your behalf. Program changes are not permitted within 14 days of your program’s start date. To avoid complications or unnecessary fees, we strongly recommend waiting for your official acceptance before booking airfare. Stanley Prep is not responsible for ticket changes, cancellations, or fare adjustments due to changes in program schedules.
